You and a guest will get to fly to Vail Colorado and participate in the 2011 Teva Mountain Games (2011 Teva Mountain Games Summer Home) and stay at the Teva House.

Unfortunately we are very pressed for time as the Teva House kicks off next week (June 2nd – June 5th). Assuming you can attend, we will need to get your flights booked immediately and make sure you have the necessary travel documentation for the USA. The USA requires a ESTA visa waiver to travel, so we need to get working on this immediately. If you would like to attend, please confirm right away and complete the attached document for our reference.

In pratica ho vinto un viaggio per due persone a Vail/Denver (in Colorado) per poter prendere parte ai summer mountain games che si svolgono lì annualmente dal 2 al 6 giugno valore del viaggio: 2640€ (MAI vinto un premio di così alto valore )


Purtroppo non era umanamente possibile organizzarsi in una sola settimana per andarmene tutto tranquillo in Colorado.. quindi ho replicato alla mail scrivendo:
Dear Steve,
I'm pleased of being selected as the Teva House 2011 winner, but as you could understand, I'm not able to organize myself for this beautiful trip on such short notice.
For this reason, I'm writing you to inform that in the official regulation of the Teva House Vail Promotion, it was mentioned that the winner would have been contacted by 07/05/2011, so I'd like to know if it's possible to exchange this prize either with another one that could be really fruible by me or to use it the next year for the 2012 Teva Mountain Games.

Per chi non capisce bene l'inglese: ho semplicemente specificato che nel regolamento del concorso era stato chiaramente riportato che il vincitore sarebbe stato avvisato entro il 07/05 (non il 26/05 ), quindi chiesi se fosse possibile scambiare il premio con un altro simile oppure se avrei potuto usufruirne durante i summer mountain games 2012 (il prossimo anno ).

Thanks for coming back to me so quickly. I fully understand your position and my apologies for such late notice. The reality is that you are the 3rd selected winner and the first two winners could not accept the trip for various reasons. Unfortunately we cannot provide another trip at a later date, but I would be happy to provide you a variety of Teva products as a supplement for your prize.

I know that is not as great as a trip to Vail, but hopefully you are willing to accept this proposal?

Traduzione: sono stato estratto come seconda riserva, ecco il perchè del ritardo nella comunicazione di vincita (il vincitore e la prima riserva hanno rifiutato il viaggio, in quanto anche loro non potevano andarci ). Tuttavia non è stato possibile sostituire il viaggio con un altro, bensì mi hanno proposto di accettare in cambio dei prodotti a marchio Teva come compenso per il premio


Ho replicato così:

I'm very sorry for not being able to live this amazing experience in Vail, so I'm going to accept with pleasure the variety of Teva products as a supplement for my prize as you proposed me in your last email.
Out of curiosity, what kind of products will I receive?

Let me know if I have to comunicate my house address (or if you already know it) for receiving these products.

I agree it is unfortunate you cannot take advantage of this trip. Please go to ??????????????????????????????? and select 6 pairs of product you would like to receive. Any size, colour, and style that is available will be ok. I will also need your mailing address.

I’m going to discuss this situation with some other people to see if we can offer you some other items for this prize in addition to Teva product. I will be out of the office until after the Mountain Games, so please bare with me over the next week.

Risposta: posso scegliere 6 paia di scarpe del colore e della misura da me preferita sul sito ??????????????????????????????? poi mi farà sapere se aggiungeranno qualche altro oggetto prima della spedizione (ma ne dubito)


Quindi adesso non mi resta che scegliere sei paia di scarpe su quel sito, il colore e il rispettivo numero e attenderne l'arrivo.. che peccato, eh?!

2640€ di premio tramutati in 6 paia di scarpe (mettiamo una media di 70€/scarpa, quindi 2640€ = 420€ )


Comunque è pur sempre un premio.. quindi lo accetto ben volentieri certo, me lo avessero comunicato prima di questo viaggio, mi sarei organizzato sicuramente per tempo e sarei partitoooo! ..vabbè :P
